The Organizing Committee of the“10 Kinds of Famous Tea in China World Expo” officially offered a plaque to Hunan (Anhua) dark tea.

The “Baishaxi” and “Xiangyi” of Hunan Tea Company Limited of China (HTCL) were the only two dark tea brands selected to enter the UN pavilion. Huang Hanqing, director of the committee said at the ceremony that this is a landmark representing that the dark tea has stepped into the international and high-end market from the domestic market.

It is the first time for the UN pavilion to set up a Chinese tea section and the Anhua dark tea is the only one of its kind selected in China.

It is revealed that a series of activities will be unfolded to display the special charm of the mysterious tea from the ancient Silk Road, and “Baishaxi” and “Xiangyi” will be exhibited and sold with a trademark of UN pavilion.

Xiao Yayu, Luo Haifan, Huang Mingkai and other leaders and veteran comrades attended the plaque-offering ceremony.
