        Dark tea is one of the six tea categories in China, and also a unique tea category in China. Hunan Province, with 60% of the production and sales volume of Dark tea in China, is the largest Dark tea producing area in China. The origin of Dark tea in Hunan is located in Baishaxi tea factory in Anhua County.

 
        Anhua is located in the central part of Hunan Province, where there are ups and downs of mountains, clouds, streams, and water from southwest to northeast. Since ancient times, it has been a famous Dark tea producing county in China. There are many poisonous snakes and beasts in it, such as "beside the cliff and the water, there is no self growth", "between Tan Shao and Qu Jiang." Its color is like iron, but its fragrance is abnormal.
 
        Anhua tea has a long history. It has an irreplaceable position in the whole history of Chinese tea culture. It was recorded in the historical materials of the Tang Dynasty (856 A.D.) that the "Qujiang thin slice" tea produced at that time was very famous and was once listed as a tribute of the imperial court, and even there was a saying that "only tea can be found in various prefectures (counties)". Dark tea also began in Anhua. In Jiajing of Ming Dynasty, Dark tea was created. This unique tea treasure was accompanied by the name of Anhua. By the end of the 16th century, Anhua Dark tea had ranked the leading position in the country. During the Wanli period, it was designated as official tea and sold to the northwest in large quantities.
 
        As a unique tea in China, Dark tea has its own unique features. This kind of tea produces a kind of ingredient called punol in the process of processing, which has a good effect of preventing fat accumulation. Therefore, Japan, South Korea and other countries regard Dark tea as the preferred drink for weight loss. Hundreds of years of drinking experience in the production area and the northwest proved that it has significant effects in the aspects of digestion, greasiness relieving, gastrointestinal conditioning, etc. there is even a saying that "it is better to have no food for three days than no tea for one day" in the northwest area.
